TKD Hawiian Themed Crawl

Taekwondo: Hawaiian Style

We kicked the night off at the Fleet, and thought we’d go in with a Bang this year and flash our moves Hawaiian style! To my mistake, I didn’t realise, that rugby started out in the fleet; but we didn’t have a care in the world; nothing was gonna stop us tonight! So people began arriving and each time they did, they were enforced with the rule of three legged! This began the night of laughs as teams of twos began climbing (more like snail walking!) their way to the bar to get some drinks down!

The first team to break from the rule was (Maniac) Mo and (Krazy) Whitney, who decided that they would have to split when they desperately dashed for the loos (we see who has the weak bladders now!).

So it turned about 8 o’clock and after a weird decision on a pub crawl, I decided we’d stay at the Fleet and watch the football match (don’t worry: the girls to my surprise actually wanted to watch it too!)! So getting a few more drinks, people thought they could pull off doubles pool (yes still tied up!), but when Tom and TJ, thought one could hold their hand out and the other use the cue, well lets just say it didn’t work out as planned! After the match between Chelsea and Barcelona (and a disappointed loss by BarcaL) we left to go straight to the union!

The difference we made was that some of us got into 2 lines and tied to each other. So it ended up with 2 lines and we began ‘The Race’. It began with team 2 with a lead, but after a long and tiring race (and after chanting 1…2…1…2), team 1 had won the race! After a delayed wait in the queue, we all got into the union!

So, what to do in the Union….hmmm….well…lets see…we all got drinks…got a bit drunk! After that…we got more drinks! Went upstairs, and began to show our moves to everyone. I think the most memorable dancer of the night would have to be Russ. Apart form head-banging most of the ‘dance’ songs he thought it would be impressive to undo his shirt as well as elbowing our treasurer (Debt Collecting) Colin.

After that little incident, we got back on track by dancing a bit more, while passing Russ’ Hawaiian skirt and putting it on our head’s! Now, what we’d been waiting for the whole night was for Mr Will (Breakdancing) Chong, to pull out some funky moves, and we weren’t disappointed tonight!

As we all said our goodbyes for the night, we headed home to our comfy beds (well I hope everyone made it to their beds!), and dreaded the next day’s training session!

Man of the Night: Everyone really (Thanks guys for coming out!!)
Team of the Night: Team 2 (Team Xtreme!!)

Till next time!
