First "Fresher's" Social '06-'07

TaeKwonDo First "Fresher's" Social Night 2006

The night began as we began to meet up at 7pm at the Fleet. After most of us meeting up straight away, we jumped straight into the night, and scoured the place for alcohol! With the atmosphere behind us, we started to get to know each other by trying to learn each others names (which I can say, is not the easiest idea with alcohol!!).

We left the Fleet for Yates for a couple of drinks before we headed to the next place. While the rest of the gang robbed the bar for drinks, I sorted out a place for us to sit, not knowing what was to come! As we all sat down, to get the place starting, Will got a shock as we shouted “Happy Birthday” to him, (with the aid of sambuca!! lol). Afterwards, we got down to some serious drinking with the help of Adam pushing me to get everyone onto some basic touch cup, (hehehe, that’s what I’m talking about!!). We suddenly became the loudest lot in the room, with some chants from the two separate games we started, and the Freshers soon found out how fun the game was (and how drunk you get from it!).

We then left merrily to invade the next bar, which turned out to be the fabled VBar. So the main aim of this place was to get Will as drunk as possible…so after a funny decision, we bought him two fireballs (LOL). He drank them without concern for the Tabasco sauce inside them!

We then headed for our last stop – the incredibly cheesy Route 66! And even though we did loose a few members (Whoopsie!) we still had quite a few left! After Adam finding out that he’s not a student anymore, we headed straight for the bar. With a few drinks down us, we headed for the dance floor! Now what we didn’t know was the Will loved to dance!!! With about a gazillion moves ranging from the robot to moves Michael Jackson wouldn’t even dare try, and a dance off challenge from other dancers, I think that we must all agree Will won!!
After everyone left, it came down to me, Adam, Chris, Gary and Jack, to go and get ourselves some food from some random burger van, and Adam, decided to brave the mega burger. So after walking for a bit and munching on our food (or as I call them: The Dirty Burgers!), we decided to split and get a taxi home!
I’d like to give a big thanks to everyone that came on the social, and to give a big happy birthday to Will!

Man of the Night: Will “Breakdancing” Chong for his Crazy Dancing!!
Thanks of the Night: Adam “Mr Smooth” Thomas for introducing girls to us in Route 66!

Overall an amazing night!!
Till Next time!
